TRANSIT INFO

Getting around in San Francisco is easy with proper planning.  Of course, you have Lyft and Uber that will take you anywhere you like but for those who prefer public transportation, here are some tips to get you prepared.

MUNI buses and trains are the main public transportation that will get you anywhere locally as well as connect you to other public transportation to travel beyond San Francisco.

For routes and current bus times use the Transit App (https://transitapp.com)

How to pay for Muni:

Best, easiest and cheapest option is to use the MuniMobil App (https://www.sfmta.com/getting-around/muni/fares/munimobile)

You don't need to scan it on the bus. Once you buy a ticket with the app, click "Use Ticket" once you board. It's good for 3 hours and all the transfers.
